Our Story

For many years, Mike and Gerri traveled, visiting vineyards across the United States and Europe.  Through their travels they learned a great deal about various types of grapes and wines.  Although they enjoyed their many experiences, they developed a particularly strong liking for the unique and personal experience that a small boutique winery offers.

In 2016 the Fritzes purchased their farm and began converting it into a vineyard.  They initially planted their first acres with red grapes and then later expanded with several more acres of whites.  Today they care for their vineyard which now has 6 different varieties of grapes.

As a winemaker Mike’s focus has been on making the best possible wine from Virginia estate grown fruit.  As a result he has adapted his wine making style to the characteristics of each type of fruit, recognizing that the best wines start in the vineyard.
