On March 4th we hosted a special wine appreciation event. Carriage House Wineworks winemaker, Mike Fritze, along with Bill Ellis led a guided exploration of Tannat wines from around the world which included tasting Tannat wines from France, Uruguay and Virginia!

On January 28th a group of Cab Franc lovers gathered at the winery for for a fun workshop where we explored how the wine expresses distinct characteristics by tasting Cabernet Franc from countries around the globe (France, Argentina, Napa, CA) including our very own Carriage House Wineworks Cabernet Franc!

We were happy to host a Governor’s Case tasting event at our Club Venue on April 29. Our guests got the chance to participate in a guided tasting of all 12 Governor’s Case winners hosted by Jay Youmans of the DC Capital Wine School. The event included interviews with the winemakers and was simulcast to a number of other venues around the state.

Loudoun’s Taste of Rose’ Event
The Taste of Rosé weekend will feature special rosé releases and events from 15 participating wineries.
Participating wineries will be featuring a variety of individual events, from a Budbreak Festival, frozen rosé slushees, discounts on flights, glasses, bottles and more at their winery location. Governor’s Cup Tasting Event
We’re honored to have our Petit Verdot wine featured in the 2021 Virginia Governor’s Cup Case! Join us at the Carriage House Club Venue on April 29th for an exclusive #vagovernorscup tasting. We will be streaming a tasting led by Jay Youmans, MW and judging director for the competition. Tickets include light refreshments, a limited edition Reidel wine glass and samplings of all 12 case wines plus this year’s Best in Show Cider winner. CHW Wins Medals at the American Wine Society Commercial Competition
We are happy to announce that all 6 of the wines we entered at this event won medals. Four Silvers and Two Bronze. We are so happy at this recognition from the wine community for our very first commercial vintage and look forward to continuing our efforts to make great wine out of locally grown Virginia grapes.

Our Grand Opening event in October was held at the Club Venue. It featured a visit by the Piedmont Riding Club in their vintage Carriages, music by Pete Lapp.
